The hardest part about BASE jumping, whether it be Tandem BASE jumps (Jumps with 2 people), or sport BASE jumps (Jumps done solo)— usually the jumping part is not the hard part. Jumping off things tends to be a split second decision for all sorts of different reasons. The landing is the hard part. It is the landing safely that actually becomes a complicated task to repeat over and over. Out of 4000+ BASE jumps that I have done— miraculously— I have had all safe landings besides some bumps, bruises, and acts of god that have led to my safety.
